A comparison between Hamas
and Al Qaeda
By Jihad Al Sady.
Translated by Faleh Saleh
Preface:
Mr. Jihad Al Sady is a Palestinian writer and analyst. He
is one of the thinkers of the Muslim-Brotherhood generally
and Hamas particularly. Hamas counts as a part of the Muslim-Brotherhood.
He shows in many parts of this comparison his sympathy for
Al Qaeda and it mindset.
Hamas has deplored the killing of the leader
of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Abo Musaab Al Zarqawi, who was known
for his brutality and bloody crimes against the Iraqi people.
My comments are the text in (brackets). The rest is translated
word by word.
__________ Begin of the translation _________________________
First:
Both sides have the same worry and that is to defend the egg
of the religion and the womb of the community (the Islamic
community) and to deter the hand of the enemies from it and
defend the ground (the ground of the Muslims), the honor and
the sanctuaries. And at the end they meet in the general aim.
Second:
Both sides belong to the Sunna and Jamaa sect (means the Islamic
Sunni sect) and there is no difference between them about
the obligation of Jihad as a pillar to drive out the occupier
from the ground of the Muslims.
Jihad is an obvious obligation in their both opinion, as long
as a few centimeters of the ground of the Muslims is still
occupied.
(That means they both believe that Jihad is an obligation.
Jihad is actually doesn’t belong to the five pillars of Islam,
but despite this fact both of them call it a pillar or religious
obligation.)
Third:
Their enemies don’t differentiate between them. They call
them both “two lawless terrorists groups, acts outside the
international systems and laws”. And consequently both of
them belong, in the opinion of the western world, in the same
basket (that means they both belong to the same collecting
tank). They are the same team and have the same ideology.
“the ideology of using Jihad to free the ground”
Fourth:
In the long term the project of each one of them supports
and stabilizes the other in the “Islamization of the societies”
and raising the stance of inactivity, passivity and retirement
that accompanied them (accompanied the societies) for long
years.
Fifth
Both sides are victims of persecution and threatened from
the evil international forces for their soles , their security
and their being.
Sixth:
Both sides sacrificed blood, martyrs, prisoners and tortured
persons. Their leaders and members has been assassinated.
Seventh:
“Regarding the sincere obvious intention” both of them have
a sincere intention to God, Jihad and resistance.
And they are, according to the obvious of their doing, faithful
in the intension to satisfy God and are not looking for worldly
assets.
Eighth:
Both sides decline in their struggle path the “organizational”
affiliation to any of the ruled political systems, “Arabic,
Islamic or international”.
They draw their moving paths according to the general interests
of the organization (means the interest of Hamas and Al Qaeda).
Ninth:
Both sides based in their quantitative structure particularly
on young people. Young people are the majority of their members
and supporters.

Hamas
Organization deplored the killing of Zarqawi
GAZA (Reuters) - The ruling Palestinian faction Hamas on
Thursday deplored the killing by U.S. warplanes of the al
Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, describing him
as a casualty of a crusade against Arabs and Muslims.
Hamas, branded as a terrorist group by the United States
and the European Union and shunned by the West since winning
office in the Palestinian government in March, had distanced
itself in the past from violence abroad blamed on al Qaeda.
But in a statement faxed to Reuters after Zarqawi was killed
in a U.S. air strike north of Baghdad on Wednesday, Hamas
said it mourned the Jordanian-born insurgent as a "martyr
of the (Muslim Arab) nation".
"With hearts full of faith, Hamas commends brother-fighter
Abu Musab ... who was martyred at the hands of the savage
crusade campaign which targets the Arab homeland, starting
in Iraq," the statement said.
